With Arkansas’ voter ID law being struck down by the state’s supreme court just days before early voting begins, things are reverting back to the way they were done before.
In Baxter County, the death of Act 595, which required all voters to show a photo ID at their polling site, is not expected to have much of an impact, according to one election official.
“I don’t see it affecting Baxter County one bit,” said Bob Bodenhamer, chairman of the Baxter County Election Commission. “People will still be asked to show an ID, but they don’t have to.”
