It may have been one of the rainiest Mondays this year, but that didn’t dampen the mood for the official unveiling of the Batesville Regional Airport’s remodeled terminal.
The lobby of the terminal was full of politicians, business people and other local leaders who gathered for the ribbon cutting outside of the terminal. The large TV in the terminal’s lobby featured Olympic cycling, but no one was really paying attention to the screen. For many of the guests, this was the first time they saw the inside of the completed terminal. Everyone was on their feet, the couches and chairs in the lobby were empty.
Design work began on the terminal in January 2015 by SCM Architects of Little Rock.
