Being in band taught Batesville native many life lessons

It’s David Cox’s last semester at the University of Arkansas. Come May, he will not only be leaving his classes behind, but some people who have become family as well. By “some people,” we mean approximately 350.

Cox, a Batesville native, is the head drum major for the Razorback Marching Band. In May, he leaves the world of marches and concerts behind to become a consultant at Applied Predictive Technologies in Bentonville.

As of now, he’s done his final march in front of an audience. Now all that’s left are exams and two concerts before he closes the door on this part of his life.
