Music, culture traditions – Now in 2nd season, Ozark Highlands Radio reflects changing times

With an eye on the future, the Ozark Folk Center in Mountain View launched Ozark Highlands Radio in 2015.

The program is a syndicated weekly one-hour magazine styled program focused on the folk music of the Ozarks with live performances, artist interviews and gust host segments.

The show is hosted by Dave Smith, a Stone County folk musician and long-time emcee at the Ozark Folk Center.

The radio program was the brain child of executive producer Daren Dortin, who spoke to the Batesville Rotary Club on Monday at Kelley Wyatt’s in Batesville.
